Hundreds of
books are published every day on Amazon.com and other online platforms. And
unless an author knows exactly what they are doing, it’s easy to get buried
under mounds of other work. Bad cover art, weak blurbs, poor keywords, and no
marketing mean a story may never see a single sale.
Books to
Break Me is about bringing a fraction of these lost works to light and trying
to find the gems among them. I read books that have never been rated and give
them a comprehensive review that they would otherwise never have.
Unfortunately,
because these books have never been rated before, I’ll never be certain whether
a book is good or bad until I begin to read it. Most of them will probably be
terrible, but hard work should be acknowledged whether an author is successful
or not.
About Hans
Doppler
I am a
freelance writer and illustrator based in the Midwest. I am also a massive geek
who collects Transformers figures and watches campy movies when I’m not working
or reading questionable novels.
I make time
for awesome books too. My favorite authors are currently Robin Hobb, Joe
Abercrombie, and Brandon Sanderson. And because I am the girliest of men, I
have a soft spot for Diana Wynne Jones.
Currently I live in a small apartment with my younger brother and his fat goldfish.
